The fall of autumn...

This gorgeous tree brooch is delicately hand pierced from the 'bowl' of an old, discarded and unwanted soup spoon found in a local charity shop. The majority of this cutlery is inherited and unwanted. Once donated, it then sits for years in charity shop cutlery trays, waiting for me! Or of late it simply gets 'dumprd' before i get an opportunity to reuse it. New 'health and safety' regulations and guidelines for certain leading brand name charity shops mean they are unwilling to sell cutlery. Hence it is unwanted and discarded by them also!! The items i do get my hands on are used to their full potential.

This particular brooch is deftly crafted, formed and polished into shape using the traditional methods, tools and a passion for nature and our environment.
