Another lovely Hairy Growler tree brooch, with a lovely little added element.

 

Each one of these i create is carefully handcut from the 'bowl' of an old, discarded, unwanted, antique serving spoon. These are generally sourced from our local charity shops in Cambridge. The design is hand rough sketched on to the surface. This is then meticulously followed with a traditional jewellers saw.

 

The remaining spoon handle is also given the Hairy Growler treatment. A little detail, time and patients transforms the remnant. This is also included as a momento of the tree's humble origins! A fab talking point, a little home for the brooch when not being worn and wonderful green, ethical and original gift.
