The Cedar tree...

This wonderful brooch is handcrafted and recycled from old, discarded, unwanted serving spoon found in local charity shops or house clearance outlets. The spoons themselves are antiques. However, they are usually single items which have little value to collectors as the original set is lost over the years. Similarly the 'odd' pieces of cutlery are of little interest to anyone else in the market for eating utensils, making them a perfect item to find a purpose for. Each spoon is reborn as a beautiful tree brooch. Holes are drilled and sections are pierced away with a small jewellers hand saw (see workshop page). The end result is quite pleasing.
