A pretty little recycled and handmade piece of jewellery / jewelry.

Pretty times...

This gorgeous little flower girl brooch has been handcrafted and recycled from old, discarded, unwanted dessert spoon found in a local charity shop. Many items of cutlery like this one are completely unwanted and staff at the charity shops are usually delighted to see the back of them! As 'lost', single items of cutlery sets, there is just no real market for them. So why not make a lovely use for them! A beautiful litle design with the fun of knowing its previous life. To create the brooch I do the design, then drill several holes into the areas i want to remove. These sections are pierced away with a small jewellers hand saw (see workshop page). After all the drilling and delicate cuttinf has been completed I simple finish the brooch with some filing, polishing and a security brooch fitting. The end result is quite pleasing.

£26 each.
