The Hairy Growler Jewellery Co. The Randomesque jewelry collection. Eco conscious, eco friendly, ethically responsible, handmade and totally lovely silver jewellery.
Coin rings, totally handcrafted and recycled. very unusual and interesting. Made in Cambridge, England, UK by Hairy Growler Jewellery Co.
Simple recycling with stylish results...
These 'coin' rings are available in all sizes, and each one is handcrafted to order from an sterling silver coin. All silver coins in Britain minted before 1920 are sterling silver, th perfect raw material to recycle for jewellery. The outside surface of the ring emblazons
one side of the coin with all its detail. This gives the rings a wonderfully
interesting aspect. However, the best part is the inside of the ring,
where the other side of the coin is clearly visible. This hidden detail,
for you, completes the circle.
Smaller size rings are made using sterling silver Sixpences and Shillings. Medium size rings are made using Shillings and Florins, whilst larger rings are made using Florins and Halfcrowns. They all look fab.
Sixpences approx 4 mm wide.
Shillings approx 7mm wide.
Florins approx 9mm - 10mm wide.
Halfcrowns approx 10mm - 12mm wide.
In addition to choosing the size you are also welcome to select the finish you prefer. An 'antique' oxidised finish or a bright silver polish.
"An unbroken circle of union..."
These rings also make fab alternative wedding bands. The creative process used in making them means that there is no join. They are an unbroken circle.
