This lovely collection of four silver pendants have been handcrafted and recycled from one old English, pure silver, half crown coin. These coins weigh 1/2 oz of silver, plenty enough for four unique pendants. I like to imagine that the nature of the design and the single coin lends itself to bringing close friends and family members together. One central source of precious metal equally divided, to share and wear. Each piece can be 'garnished' with a small bronze or copper star, also hand cut from old coins, you choose.
The coins I use are unwanted by coin collectors as certain details are worn, etc. This leaves the coins valued only for their weight in silver. Rather than being totally scrapped, these coins are used to make beautiful pieces of jewellery. I actively source these coins and use their history, design and detail to add interest to the bracelet. Obviously, the other main quality of using these coins are the positive ethical considerations.
These pendants are handcrafted in Cambridge using hand tools and created from 100% recycled raw materials, great for the environment.
