Hawaiian flowers from silver shillins..

This gorgeous little pendant has been recycled from an old English silver shilling. It is pure silver, perfect for transformation and to be recycled into a lovely wearable piece of original jewellery.. Firsly I sketch the outline of the flower. Then I carefully and delicately follow the sketch with a jewellers piercing saw, cutting away the bits of coin surplus to the finished design. I drill several miniture holes and carve away the inside sections to give intricate detail and depth. I then simply file, smooth and polish the flower, revealing a great finished flower pendant. The fantastic part of this pendant is that details of the original silver shillin are evident, giving a lovely history and story to it. Additionally, I leave the separate cut-away part of the coin with the pendant. These two elements slip together beautifully revealing the full identity of the pendant. Green in every way! Obviously, each one totally different, completely unique and very special.
