Les, Thank you. It's beautiful. It is a bit large for the finger I had originally intended it to adorn, but sits well on the index finger of my right hand... as if it's made for it, to be honest, as it means the hallmark is shown off... Will probably start writing more... and painting... and perhaps even picking my nose in public, just to show it off!

Seriously, it is really quite special.

Am going to try my best to resist loooking at the hairygrowler site when I get paid, as I do spend far too much money (a habit I am doing my best to curb)... but rest assured, I will certainly return when I deserve a treat or need to buy a special birthday present... and you will be thoroughly recommended to others... Hi Les Thank you so much for resending that and for the warm comments, I really appreciate them. I have looked for years for some many special gifts for special occasions and always been at a loss, often taking the easy route with a donation instead. When one is invited to a celebration it is always because of ones' relationship with that person and finding a gift to reflect how special that relationship is, has always been a difficulty every time I open an RSVP envelope!. Hi My partner bought me a cedar tree brooch for christmas.As Neil said it was the obvious choice as both houses we have lived in have had large cedar trees in the front garden. I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy wearing it, I love the idea that my little tree is unique. I have hinted that collecting a whole forest would be cool - so role on valentines day!!
