This cute little brooch has been hand cut from the thick blade of an antique fish knife! I know, nothing is safe when i'am around, it all gets used and re-used.

 

As with most pieces i create, the design is hand sketched on to the surface. This rough outline drawing is meticulously follwed with an extra fine jewellers saw. That combined with a few other simple tools is all that is needed to transform an unwanted, discarded, antique fish knife into a contemporary, cute, desirable brooch.
