The mermaid and the Octopus.......
This gorgeous new necklace is crafted from one sterling silver crown coin, English and dated 1885.
The coin was flattened out in my usual manner. Once stretched out to the desired working shape i simply drew the design on with a fine nibbed marker pen. This rough sketch is then embellished and used as a approx guide line for my piercing saw work (the best bit! yipee) From here the pendant was filed, sanded, polished and finished with two wee silver fishy friends (we all have those).
