Love whales...
Ever since reading Moby Dick i have had a love and interest in whales, so having the opportunity to creat lovely little whale amulates is a pleasure.
Each one of these pendants is handmade from an old 1880' - 1890's sterling silver sixpence coin. Using a marker pen a quick inspired sketch is dropped on to the surface of the small silver coin. I then meticulously carve away the Blue whale using a traditional jewellers saw. Once the details are cut the pendant is given a polish, either matte (shown) or shiny (also looks fab).
As I handcut each coin individually to order every one is completely unique and unusual. They look and feel special.
