The woodland wisdom.
A lovely new woodland tree with accompanying wise owl sitting nicely amongst the branches. It has been meticulously crafted from an old English sterling silver florin coin. The coin itself was minted in 1880's from the finest silver.
Once flattened into the required shape, the tree and owl design is roughly drawn onto the coin surface. This trace outline is carefully followed with an ultra fine piercing saw blade. The interior detail is revealed using the same hand saw and a pendant drill.
Once crafted the tree is finished with a simple mounted amethyst, garnet or star hanging freely at the bale. For added interest the 'off-cut' surrounding coin is included. It is a wonderful scrap piece of silver that ties your new tree to its historical, green origins.
