When the climate was different and farming practices not so aggressively industrial the Somerset levels were Flooded and Glastonbury stood proud as the isle of Glass. It’s ancient name was Ynys Witrin, which translates as "Island of Glass,". It must’ve been quite a vision especially with a full moon reflecting in the water. I love waters ability to produce a perfectly flat level surface, like a glass mirror, such beautiful reflections.

Spent the evening pulling a silver reindeer out of an old coin. She has emerged, now decorating her.

Vegvísir - magical Icelandic stave intended to help the beater and wearer find their way through rough times. {As with all compasses operation is based on Euclidean geometry and stationary level plane is assumed}. The ‘donor’ silver material is an old Victorian sterling half crown coin. It is set in pine resin pitch during the transformation process! #vegvísir #vegvisir

Could I 'Hairy Growlerise' this flat cap? The Laird flat cap already has a lovely copper stud at the back with their 'antlers' logo which was, to my eyes blatantly an autumn equinox, Neil Young, Harvest Moon. There is no moon without hares gazing at it, simple. The Hare is cut from a recycled 100 year old sterling silver sixpence, added luck for the recipient. The hare adds a unique customisation to an already fabulously cut and crafted cap. #blingbutnottoobling #hairygrowler
