Recycled Sterling silver fork
This lovely organic looking bangle was originally an old, undesirable, but lovely antique fork. Many of these forks are ‘lost’ from greater cutlery sets over the years and inherited by family members whom already have cutlery sets they love. The forks are are valuable as they are solid silver. Rather than letting antiques dealers ‘scrap’ them in for the silver value I like to keep at least a little of their history alive and relevant. After a bit of a clean up it is immediately obvious that many discarded, unwanted forks have the potential to become more than just a simple, yet beautiful fork bangle. Spring is always a time for me to let my mind wander into new ideas and concepts. The handle of ‘fiddle pattern’ type of forks lend themselves to more interesting and delicate work.
The flower fork is bourn. Each one delicate in appearance but very strong in structure and will last a lifetime.
