1974 Strawberry Moon – Tree of Life

40th Strawberry Moon Tree of Life coin necklace – handmade and recycled little 1974 halfpenny coin

These are definitely tiny, sweet little charms / necklaces.  Each piece is carefully and considerately handcrafted from a very small UK half penny. This coin is no longer in circulation; 1984 was its last year of minting as it was impossible to buy anything with a ha’penny any more. It is only a tiny 17 mm diameter coin, and I have realised how much I miss these being in circulation! I used to buy sickly little ½ penny chewy sweets as a little boy, and working with these bring me back… It really is a beautiful little coin to work with, although quite challenging because of its size.

If you are looking for a 50th Birthday gift then this 1974 half penny is perfect choice. Minted the same year as the intended recipient!  I have a small selection of special 1974 coins that I have managed to secure ready to transform into Strawberry Moon Tree of Life birthday necklace pendants.  This date is visible on the front bottom of the tree trunk, and will add an extra special birthday touch. I will make into your own Strawberry Moon Tree of Life coin necklace.

NECKLACE INFORMATION

Many of the necklace / pendant designs are complete. These designs have a sterling silver chain attached to the pendant from both sides. This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen).  The necklace length you choose includes the length of the actual pendant. Do not worry about the pendant dimensions we will take care of your order. Order the necklace length you would normally wear and the necklace you receive will sit in the perfect position..
