The Magical Maple

Maple leaf jewellery made from reused silver, copper and bronze coins.

A magical tree which is universally known for its mesmerising autumn leaves. The Maple tree is associated with graceful beauty, elegance and balance. It is a symbol of serenity and tranquility. In Japan, the maple trees are known as kaede (楓) or momiji (紅葉), which means “become crimson-leaved.

The magical maples strengthens an individual’s connection and bond with nature. In Canda and Japan particularly the Magical Maple embodies themes of national identity, particularly in Canada, and can be associated with love, generosity, and abundance.

For me I have always loved the leaves in autumn. The leaves are instantly recognisable and wonderfully symmetrical. The leaves I have created from a recycled silver, copper and bronze coins are imbued with these connections and will make beautiful necklace and protection amulet.

NECKLACE INFORMATION

Many of the necklace / pendant designs are complete. These designs have a sterling silver chain attached to the pendant from both sides. This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen). The necklace length you choose includes the length of the actual pendant. Do not worry about the pendant dimensions we will take care of your order. Order the necklace length you would normally wear and the necklace you receive will sit in the perfect position..
