When observing Small birds I feel a sense of vulnerability, innocence, fragility, joy, freedom, and hope, depending on the context and the specific bird. Their songs evoke feelings of peace and connection to nature, while their ability to fly can symbolize liberation and the soul’s aspirations.
Small birds, like robins or sparrows, are often depicted as innocent creatures, their small size and delicate appearance making them symbols of vulnerability and fragility. Their cheerful songs and lively movements can represent joy, happiness, and the beauty of the natural world.
Their ability to fly can symbolize freedom, escape from earthly constraints, and the soul’s yearning for transcendence. Birds also act as messengers, either from the spiritual realm or between different parts of their world. They connect me to the natural world, their presence reminding me of the beauty and wonder of the natural world.
Cherry blossoms, or “sakura” in Japanese, primarily representing renewal, the fleeting nature of life, and the beauty of living in the present moment. Their brief blooming period, typically lasting only a couple of weeks, serves as a powerful reminder of life’s transient beauty and the importance of appreciating each moment. This symbolism is deeply rooted in Japanese philosophy, the awareness of the impermanence of things and the gentle sadness at their passing.
