ʀᴇᴄʏᴄʟᴇᴅ sɪʟᴠᴇʀ sʜɪʟʟɪɴɢs & ғʟᴏʀɪɴs. ᴇᴀᴄʜ ʟɪɴᴋ ᴛᴏᴛᴀʟʟʏ ᴜɴɪǫᴜᴇ
This new hairy growler Birdsong bracelet is totally handmade from old uncollectible 100 year old coins, primarily florins and shillings. These beautiful coins are unwanted by coin collectors when elements become rubbed and marked. In most countries these old coins are made out of silver and this was the basis of their ‘face value’, worth. In the UK coins silver coloured coins minted before 1919 were made from 925 silver, known as sterling silver, an excellent quality silver to transform into jewellery with inherent untold stories, history and ethics.
These coins are a fantastic raw material to use as they have lovely details and history (most being well over 100 years old!). Having the opportunity to re-use them rather than collectors ‘scrapping’ them for the basic silver content is wonderful. Some links have added colour and contrast with small flower blossom elements created from old Victorian copper pennies and Georgian bronze thrupney bit coins.
Handcrafted & Recycled in Cambridge, UK. Size : Each section approx 15 mm * 30 mm. If mixed metal option is chosen (like bracelet shown) a small heart on one link will be made from a victorian penny. The wee flower heads will be made from a mixture of silver, copper and bronze from shillings, pennies and bronze thrupney-bit coins. The full silver on silver option all elements with be made from silver shillings and florins. On the silver and gold option the wee flowers and hearts are made from 22ct, 18ct and 9ct gold to give a lovely array of shades of gold from recycled gold coins.
Birds bring to mind joy, freedom, and the beauty of nature. Their melodious songs represent happiness and harmony, while their ability to fly embodies freedom and escape. They can also symbolize innocence, new beginnings, and even the human soul. Different species of songbirds can carry specific symbolic meanings, such as the robin’s association with hope and renewal, or the nightingale’s connection to love and lament.

Beautiful birdies
Each one of the little birds is a beauty to behold – when they are all joined together they make such a stunning bracelet. I love mine and wear it loads. I love the little heart and jewel on the clasp too. Just stunning

Absolutely stunning piece of jewellery, the time, skill and patience to craft this is so impressive. The fact their appears to be small forget-me-not flowers within the bracelet after mentioning that my wife already had the earrings whether personal or not is a wonderful touch, thank you so much.
