Daisy Fork Tine Ring
Handmade Recycled Silver Ring with 24ct Gold Detail
Some pieces begin with objects that have already lived a life.
The Daisy Fork Tine Ring is made from a recycled silver fork tine, reworked by hand into a delicate floral form. At its centre sits a small 24ct gold nugget, forming the stamen of the daisy — a quiet, beautiful contrast.
The Material
The ring begins as a reclaimed silver fork tine.
Once part of a utilitarian object, the silver carries subtle traces of its past: softened edges, gentle variation, and a weight shaped by use. Rather than being melted down and erased, the tine is reshaped and refined, allowing its history to remain part of the finished piece.
This approach gives the ring a sense of continuity — transformation rather than replacement.
The Daisy
The daisy has long symbolised simplicity, resilience, and quiet joy.
It is a flower that thrives without display, returning year after year. Rendered in silver, the petals are lightly worked to hold texture and form, while the centre is left open to receive its golden core.
The design is small and unassuming, intended to be worn daily rather than reserved.
Gold at the Centre
Set at the heart of the flower is a small 24ct gold nugget.
Left largely as found, the gold brings warmth and contrast to the silver petals. Its natural surface catches light differently from polished metal, giving the ring a quiet focal point rather than a formal setting.
The use of pure gold here is intentional — a rare material used sparingly, valued for presence rather than size.
Made by Hand
The fork tine is cut, formed, and refined entirely by hand.
Traditional tools are used to shape the ring, with the flower built as an integral part of the form rather than applied afterward. The gold nugget is carefully seated and secured, completing the piece without overwhelming it.
Small variations remain from ring to ring, marking each one as individual.
Wear & Patina
Silver and gold respond differently to time.
The silver will gradually soften and deepen in tone through wear, while the gold remains warm and luminous. This contrast becomes more pronounced over time, giving the ring a lived-in character that reflects regular use.
The ring is designed to be comfortable and durable for everyday wear.
Meaning & Wearing
The Daisy Fork Tine Ring is a piece about finding value in the familiar.
It suits those drawn to small details, recycled materials, and jewellery that carries quiet optimism. Meaning is not fixed — it develops naturally through wear, association, and time.

Small, Considered, Enduring
The Daisy Fork Tine Ring is not decorative excess.
It is a small, thoughtful object — shaped slowly, worn often, and valued for its story as much as its form. Over time, it becomes less an ornament and more a familiar companion.
