A little more detail…
Stay yourself even in the most dirty of waters.
Lotus flower and Om earrings – handcrafted using traditional hand tools and techniques. Handmade from recycled silver shillings.
Silver shillings are recycled to craft these lovely yoga earrings. These coins are unwanted by coin collectors due to wear marks from being used to buy and sell over one hundred years ago.
Seeded in muddy waters, the lotus rises above the mud and produces beautiful and fragrant flowers. The lotus flower and Om earrings have been individually hand cut from the old ‘out of circulation’ coins with a traditional jewellers saw then carved and engraved . For added interest an ‘off-cut’ surrounding coin is included with the earrings. The lotus flowers come complete with a third earring, a sweet wee Om, representing you, the eternal soul. This allows you the option of wearing a traditional pair or alternatively an asymmetrical unique look.
Handmade and completely recycled in Cambridge, UK. Size : Approx 10mm * 5mm
Purity and spiritual enlightenmentThe lotus’s ability to remain undefiled despite its muddy environment represents the human journey toward spiritual enlightenment and detachment from worldly impurities. It symbolizes the potential for individuals to rise above life’s challenges, shedding negativity and embracing a purer existence.
Rebirth and transformationThe lotus’s daily cycle of closing its petals at night and reopening with the sunrise symbolizes rebirth, renewal, and the cyclical nature of life. It evokes resilience and the transformative power of perseverance, reminding us that new beginnings are always possible, even after experiencing setbacks.
Beauty and graceThe lotus flower’s delicate petals and elegant appearance naturally associate it with beauty, grace, and perfection. It can be used to describe the beauty of the natural world, the human form, or the unfolding of the soul in its spiritual journey.
The lotus’s capacity to thrive and bloom beautifully despite its challenging environment serves as a powerful symbol.
