The Principle of Correspondence

Moon gazing necklace – handcrafted, hand carved and recycled silver 1840’s Florin coin.

The luminaries and heavenly bodies are of great interest and as intangible extraordinary visibles they are of course inspiration to the curious minded.  Enjoying these wonders in life with another is defo a special connection.  The first step in creating this piece is to prepare the surface of the coin.  This is done by removing all existing details on the front whilst leaving the evident history on the reverse.  The entire design is hand carved and engraved into the surface of the silver coin.  This is a super time consuming and exact process but one which I enjoy immensely.  The finished  result is quite unique. What more could you ask for really? – To be engraved with a small personal inscription of initials the reverse? well okay, I’ll take pleasure in doing that for you too.

NECKLACE INFORMATION

Many of the necklace / pendant designs are complete. These designs have a sterling silver chain attached to the pendant from both sides. This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen).  The necklace length you choose includes the length of the actual pendant. Do not worry about the pendant dimensions we will take care of your order. Order the necklace length you would normally wear and the necklace you receive will sit in the perfect position..

Extra small : approx 170 mm

Small size : approx 185 mm

Medium size : approx 195 mm

Large size : approx 210 mm (good size if you want a looser dangly medium fit)

XL size approx 225 mm (includes an extra link; i.e. another lovely flower, butterfly, bird, etc section custom made)
