Recycled silver
Each ring is carefully handcrafted to order, every feather is individually hand carved and cut using traditional hand tools. This time honoured process allows me to have a close connection to each piece, ensuring the end result is personal and unique. Handmade and recycled in Cambridge, England.
Feathers were worn by Native American Chiefs to express their celestial wisdom. Feathers represented the power of the thunder gods, along with the power of air and wind.
As a Celtic symbol meaning, the feather was worn by Druids in ceremonies to invoke the sky gods.
The Egyptians believed that feathers were symbolic of sky gods too. Ma’at, the Egyptian goddess of justice, would weigh the hearts of the newly dead in the underworld against the weight of a feather to determine the worthiness of his or her soul.
In dreams feathers are believed to relate to travel or the ability to move more freely in life. White feathers in dreams indicate innocence or a fresh start in a spiritual sense. The ‘off-cut’ of the silver Florin is included to complete the origin story of the piece.
Each ring is completely unique, individual and original.
Size : Each feather approx 20 mm * 8 mm. (approx 2.0 mm thick band)
