The uplifting scent and feel of spring turning to summer… All from a cute little tree brooch created and recycled from the middle of an old unwanted vintage spoon found in a charity shop in Cambridge.

Each one i make is completely unique and recycled. Every one the result of time, patience and a love of what we create. The individual tree design is free hand drawn onto the outside of the soup spoon. This is followed by the piercing saw, files and finally polish. The outcome is a beautiful, inspired by nature brooch, which has been created with green principles and a love of original design.

An integral and interesting part of the brooch is the spoon from which it was cut. This simple ‘donor’ spoon is also given a little ‘Hairy Growler’ treatment. It is transformed in to an wonderful Objects D’ Art which acts a lovely resting place for the brooch when not being worn. Both are presented in a lovely box.

A lovely, contemporary spring tree brooch with fantastic credentials and a great conversation piece. Handmade and recycled in Cambridge.

NECKLACE INFORMATION

Many of the necklace / pendant designs are complete. These designs have a sterling silver chain attached to the pendant from both sides. This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen).  The necklace length you choose includes the length of the actual pendant. Do not worry about the pendant dimensions we will take care of your order. Order the necklace length you would normally wear and the necklace you receive will sit in the perfect position..

Large size : approx 210 mm (good size if you want a looser dangly medium fit)
