Recycled silver sixpence coin
This inspiring swallow design is definitely quite a challenge to cut and engrave. The sixpence is such a small coin at only 16 mm diameter working area. Each one of these pendants is handmade from a 100 year old solid silver sixpence coin.
Using a marker pen a quick inspired sketch is dropped on to the surface of the sixpence. I then meticulously carve away the design with a traditional hand engraving tool and cut details using a traditional jewellers saw. Once the details are cut the pendant is given an extremely bright polishing which really brings the coin to life.
As I handcut each coin individually to order every one is completely unique and unusual. They look and feel special.
Handcrafted and recycled in Cambridge, UK.
Size : 19 mm diameter

Gorgeous piece – even more lovely in the flesh!
Was torn between this and the skull sixpence so left it to my husband to decide and so pleased he chose this one. I can wear it everyday, it goes with every outfit and is already one of my favourite pieces in a very spoilt jewellery collection with pieces worth 20x as much. Amazing value and so individual.
