[Em]braclet the weather – Recycled coin bracelet
This particular piece truly celebrates the glorious changeable British summertime. It acknowledges the greater forces out of our control that bring good times, great times and also gloomy times. It symbolically fastens around the wrist so you embrace the cyclical and predictable nature of the ever changing possibilities, twists and turns life throws at us.
This fun bracelet always makes me smile when i create it. Each element is formed from old English out of circulation coins. The silver parts are recycled from sterling silver quality crown and half crown coins, whilst the bronze sun is delicately hand pierced from a flattened 3d ‘thrupney-bit’ coin.
The coins used have been discarded due to worn details, rendering them un-collectable ‘scrap’ by collectors in search of aged perfection. The coins are hammered, cut, filed and polished into their final shapes.
Handcrafted & Recycled in Cambridge, UK.
Size : Each section approx 18 mm * 12 mm

Beautiful bracelet
I bought this quirky bracelet to wear with a necklace I purchased a few years ago from Hairy Growler. It is so beautifully made and I really love it, I just wish you could decide on what kind of fastener to have. I can’t do it up unless someone else does it up for me which is frustrating especially for the price, but apart from that it is a joy to wear and makes me smile every time.
