40th Birthday Queen or King – Recycled wee 1983 halfpenny coin

These 1983 half penny coins are definitely tiny, sweet little charms / necklaces. I have cut them from small UK half pennies (no longer in circulation, 1984 was the last year of the half-pea). It is only a tiny 17 mm diameter coin, now i have started working with them i realise i quite miss them being in circulation!  Imagine a time when ½p actually paid for things and was a coin of value?!?!  Thanks inflation

It is a beautiful little coin to work with and i love the fact that the ½ penny denomination is visible within the design.  The 1983 date is visible on the reverse of the pendant and could add that extra special birthday touch. I present the coin as a sweet Royal birdie queen (complete with tiny engraved eyelashes!) Next you can choose hearts or stars for the theme, or indeed neither, just the little bird and crown!

NECKLACE INFORMATION

Many of the necklace / pendant designs are complete. These designs have a sterling silver chain attached to the pendant from both sides. This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen).  The necklace length you choose includes the length of the actual pendant. Do not worry about the pendant dimensions we will take care of your order. Order the necklace length you would normally wear and the necklace you receive will sit in the perfect position..
