Recycled antique spoon
These gorgeous alternative reality flying elephant earrings are hand pierced from an old discarded dessert spoon. Each one has been cut from the ‘side walls’ of the spoon’s ‘bowl’. This gives the elephants design a lovely natural curve.
Every pair is the result of a ‘free-hand’ design, thus every pair is completely unique and individual. Beautiful and ethically sound!
The designs are carefully hand drawn onto the spoon and then embellished with a traditional jewellers saw. Each winged elephant is not only completely unique and original but also totally green and ethical. You are welcome to specify a finish for your new, earrings, satin brushed matte finish (shown) or highly polished finish.
The actual ‘donor’ spoon is included with these earrings which beautifully demonstrates the green, ethical origins of the earrings whilst simultaneously connecting the wearer to their wonderful prior history. They are suspended on sterling silver earwires. Handmade and completely recycled in Cambridge, UK.

Many of the necklace / pendant designs are complete. These designs have a sterling silver chain attached to the pendant from both sides. This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen).  The necklace length you choose includes the length of the actual pendant. Do not worry about the pendant dimensions we will take care of your order. Order the necklace length you would normally wear and the necklace you receive will sit in the perfect position..
