A little more detail…
The Hairy Growler tweeting bird necklace signifies joy, innocence, hope, vibrancy and harmony. The bird’s song represents your own voice—singing in solitude—and the enduring connection between imaginative freedom and natural beauty.
The sweet, varied, and persistent songs of birds, especially songbirds, are often interpreted as signs of joy, optimism, and the vibrant, lively spirit of nature. The untroubled melodies of a tweeting bird can evoke feelings of purity and innocence, contrasting with the complex emotions of our lives.
This little sparrow necklace is crafted from one sterling silver half crown coin, English and dated 1880’s. The coin was flattened out in my usual manner. Once stretched out to the desired working shape i simply drew the design on with a fine nibbed marker pen (a design i have been promising myself to do for ages!! Its been sitting in my sketch book for ages and ages) This rough sketch is then embellished and used as a approx guide line for my piercing saw work. From here the pendant was carefully hand engraved to give depth to the piece.
Handmade and recycled in Cambridge, England.
Size : Approx 60 mm * 30 mm
