The autumn equinox is the counterpart of Ostara or the Spring Equinox, a point of perfect balance on the wheel of the year.
Night and day are again of equal length and in perfect equilibrium – dark and light, masculine and feminine, inner and outer, all in natural balance.
A time and moment to celebrate. Enjoying the fruits of labour, soaking up the colours, smells and flavours. The tree sap is now returning back to the roots deep in the earth, from greens to golds.
The turn of the sky clock brings with it the wheel of the year revolving towards completion, the Sun’s power is waning as it heads to the outer edges and from now on the nights grow longer and the days are are shorter and cooler.
