A little more detail…
Each pair of asymmetrical Oak leaf and Acorn earrings is hand cut and engraved with a traditional jewellers piercing saw and gravers from the ‘bowl’ of an old, discarded and unwanted vintage teaspoon. Once ‘freed’ from the confines of the spoon they are gently filed, shaped and polished to a matte-satin-silver finish or traditional ‘shiny’ finish.
Handmade and completely recycled in Cambridge, UK. Complete with the finest sterling silver ear wires and the actual ‘donor’ spoon is included to connect the wearer to the recycled, green origins of the earrings and their wondrous previous history. Size : Oak leaf : 23mm*10mm & Acorn 15mm*10mm
The oak leaf represents the mighty oak tree, embodies strength, endurance, wisdom, and longevity. It can also symbolize stability, hospitality, and virtue, and is frequently associated with concepts of eternity and the Tree of Life.Additionally, oak leaves can represent independence, honor, and protection.
Strength and Endurance:The oak’s longevity and ability to withstand harsh weather conditions make its leaves a powerful symbol of resilience and enduring strength.
Wisdom and Longevity:Oaks are known for their long lifespans, leading to associations with wisdom, experience, and the passage of time.
Hospitality and Virtue: In some contexts, oak leaves are linked to hospitality and the welcoming nature of the oak tree, as well as virtues like honesty and integrity.
Spiritual and Religious Significance:Oak trees hold sacred significance in various cultures and religions, often representing sacredness, protection, and even divinity. For example, the Celtic Druids revered the oak, and it is mentioned in both the Christian Bible and Slavic mythology.
Personal Reflection:In a more personal context, oak leaves can symbolize a need for detailed awareness and a deeper appreciation for nuance in life, encouraging one to look closely at the details and find meaning in the ordinary.

Exquisite 🙂 and love the representation of one of my favourite trees and sayings 🙂
These are just beautiful – I love that you have an acorn and an oak leaf as this is possibly my favourite tree and representative of one of my favourite sayings,
‘Mighty oaks from little acorns grow’ – and I love this analogy. The acorn is also central to my business logo (I have my own outdoor learning and Forest School social enterprise)
Just love them 🙂

As good as I hoped…actually better than I hoped
Bought the acorn and oak leaf earrings for my girlfriend who asked me to write “beautiful hand made wearable pieces of art”. They seem to get spotted by numerous friends who actively ask where they are from.
