A little more detail…
Silver pentagram. These lovely little lucky personalised threepence pentacles are a great gift for yourself or anyone you know who is special Each one is handcrafted from a genuine sterling silver pre 1919 English silver threepence. Each and every one of these is handmade in Cambridge. Sterling silver was the choice material of all English Threepence’s, Sixpence’s, Shilling’s, Florins, Half-Crowns and Crown coins before 1919. This presents a great opportunity to create precious metal recycled jewellery. The vast majority of these coins have suffered substantial wear over their years of circulation. It is these coins which are not valued by most coin collectors. In most cases these coins are acquired to be melted down for the basic silver value. This disappointing truth means that all of the history, detailsand interest of the coin are lost forever. Recycling the coins allows these original details to survive and become conversation. Obviously it is important for the piece of jewellery to be desirable, wearable and beautiful!
Good luck and best wishes. Handcrafted and recycled in Cambridge, UK. Size : Approx 16 mm diameter
The pentagram’s symbolism includes the knightly virtues, such as loyalty and kindness, as famously depicted in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. It also represents the human form, encompassing the five senses and symbolizing the potential for spiritual perfection. In its upright orientation, it signifies the spirit’s triumph over the four elements (earth, air, fire, and water), while the inverted pentagram is often linked to the material or carnal forces and is sometimes used to symbolize evil or the “goat of lust”.
In medieval Europe, particularly in the poem Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, the pentagram symbolizes the five knightly virtues: generosity, friendship, chastity, chivalry, and piety.
It can symbolize the “perfected human” or human microcosm, reflecting a harmony between the body and the universe, with its points representing the outstretched limbs and the overall form representing human potential.
The pentagram has been used to represent the five senses, the five fingers, or the five wounds of Christ, connecting the physical human form to divine concepts.
Historically, the pentagram served as a powerful symbol of protection, believed to ward off evil spirits, demons, and witches.
The single upward-facing point represents spirit over matter, symbolizing the dominance of the spiritual world and goodness.

Lovely Silver Pentacles
This is such a great idea: making silver jewellry pentacles out of old silver threepenny bits. Such a lovely idea that I bought two, as presents. I haven’t actually given them to the intended recipients yet as the appropriate date hasn’t yet arrived, but I’d be amazed if the two people concerned don’t really love them.

Love and adore
Being wiccan I am always on the look out for unique pentacles, so was hugely excited when I found this piece. A truly wonderful pentacle, that has joined my other pieces from you. Love it, thank you.

These little pentagrams are gorgeous. This is my second purchase from Les and I couldn’t be happier. What an amazing artistic talent. Each item is a beautifully hand made and individually designed piece of wearable art.
