Recycled silver Florin coin

This lovely summer silver tree pendant has been meticulously handcrafted from a flattened sterling silver florin coin, pre 1919. These lovely old pure silver coins are fab to work with and a priveledge to recycle.

Each one of these trees is a complete pleasure to make, totally unique and completely individual. Once crafted and cut from the coin, the tree is finished with some fine hand engraving to give an extra detail and dimension to the tree trunk, blossom, flowers and birdies.

If the sterling silver chain option is chosen a lovely little star or crescent moon is suspended from the handmade ‘shepards crook’ safety catch. This catch looks lovely worn at the front with the tree as it looks like the star is twinkling above or it can by worn traditionally at the back of the neck, adding a fab little detail to the back of the neckline.

For additional interest and completeness the ‘off-cut’ surrounding silver coin is included with the necklace. This simple byproduct will connect you to your lovely new tree and its previous fascinating history!

NECKLACE INFORMATION

Many of the necklace / pendant designs are complete. These designs have a sterling silver chain attached to the pendant from both sides. This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen).  The necklace length you choose includes the length of the actual pendant. Do not worry about the pendant dimensions we will take care of your order. Order the necklace length you would normally wear and the necklace you receive will sit in the perfect position..

Extra small : approx 170 mm

Small size : approx 185 mm

Medium size : approx 195 mm

Large size : approx 210 mm (good size if you want a looser dangly medium fit)
