A little more detail…
The lovebirds represent undying devotion, deep affection, and steadfast companionship, stemming from their natural monogamous bonds and tendency to stay close to their mates. They are renowned for forming strong, lifelong pair bonds, making them a potent symbol of unwavering loyalty and commitment.
Their constant closeness, sitting nestled together, reflects a profound connection and deep affection, embodying the warmth of shared companionship. Their inseparable nature serves as a testament to the lasting power and enduring nature of love, even in the face of life’s challenges.
As “avian ambassadors of affection,” they remind us that love is a universal force, encouraging viewers to nurture and cherish the love in their own lives. The gentle coos and mutual care they show each other symbolize the importance of communication and mutual support within a strong partnership
This sweet tweet necklace is meticulously handcrafted from a sterling silver Georgian florin coin. The coin was carefully and forcefully flattened out in my usual manner. Once stretched out to the desired working shape i simply draw the design on with a fine nibbed marker pen. This rough sketch is then embellished and used as a approx guide line for my piercing saw work (the best bit! yipee). From here the pendant was filed, sanded, polished, and finished with some fine line intricate engraving.
Obviously the ‘off-cut’ of the remaining silver coin is packed with the silver love birdies for your interest and to keep its history, origin and story alive.
Handmade and recycled in Cambridge, England.
Size : Approx 30 mm * 25 mm
