Recycled silver Threepence coins

The new Teeny Weeny Kingsy Queeny bracelet includes lots of tiny details including flowers, stars, leaves, personal initials, including recycled silver threepence Kingsy and Queeny birds and old penny ‘beaten’ heart. As a Hairy Growler original bracelet it is totally handmade. The King and Queen Robins are hand cut and carved from 100 year old solid silver Threepence coins. These beautiful sterling silver coins are unwanted by coin collectors when elements become rubbed and marked. To collectors they are only valuable in terms of their silver content. The silver fragment links are also solid silver and each one is hammer beaten, with many engraved with lovely symbols displaying a true love of nature.

These Threepence coins are a fantastic raw material to use as they have lovely details and history (most being well over 100 years old!). Having the opportunity to re-use them rather than collectors ‘scrapping’ them for the basic silver content is good. The ‘off-cuts’ from the teeny weeny king and queen Robins are also included which beautifully connect the wear to their history and green and ethical origins.

NECKLACE INFORMATION

Many of the necklace / pendant designs are complete. These designs have a sterling silver chain attached to the pendant from both sides. This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen).  The necklace length you choose includes the length of the actual pendant. Do not worry about the pendant dimensions we will take care of your order. Order the necklace length you would normally wear and the necklace you receive will sit in the perfect position..

Extra small : approx 170 mm

Small size : approx 185 mm

Medium size : approx 195 mm

Large size : approx 210 mm (good size if you want a looser dangly medium fit)

XL size approx 225 mm (includes an extra link; i.e. another lovely flower, butterfly, bird, etc section custom made)
