Recycled spoon brooch
If I was a writer this would be the title of my first short story. I’m blatantly not so i’ve expressed the passing thought as a sweet, green, ethical, upcycled spoon brooch. An old, unwanted dessert spoon transformed using traditional hand tools and a passion for green principles and ethics.

Each of these fabulous tree brooches is carefully outlined on the surface of the spoon. This is slowly and meticulously followed with a traditional jewellers piercing saw and hand tools. The final shape is filed and polished to perfection. An old spoon recycled into a gorgeous, wearable brooch.

An integral and interesting part of the brooch is the antique dessert spoon from which it was cut. This simple ‘donor’ spoon is also given a little ‘Hairy Growler’ treatment. It is transformed in to an wonderful Objet D’ Art which acts a lovely resting place for the brooch when not being worn. Both are presented in a lovely box.

Each one of these beautifully crafted ‘popular tree’ brooches is handmade, totally green, completely ethical, 100 % recycled and utterly unique.

This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen).
