A heart with wings represents freedom, pure and boundless love, and the ability to transcend sorrow or hardship. The wings represent freedom and a spiritual, angelic quality, while the heart signifies love and emotion, often suggesting a love that is free, pure, or divinely protected. In a spiritual context it represents a heart rising toward God in devotion and seeking the Truth.

The wings are a classic symbol of freedom, allowing the heart to go anywhere, free from earthly bonds or limitations. With a central heart it can signify resilience, representing the ability to carry love forward and rise above life’s challenges and heartache.

This lovely necklace has been created from a single sterling silver 1890’s half-crown coin. Each and every one i make is made from a coin of the same sterling silver quality and age. These coins are beautiful to use as the silver has a unmistakable feel and texture. The age and history of the silver is also great. Its wonderful to think that the necklace or item of jewellery you are wearing was once a silver coin, used over one hundred years ago, in various transactions, etc.

The coin is carefully flattened out into a workable sheet of silver. It is then meticulously cut into the desired form, then filed and polished. The finished piece is than joined to a lovely sterling silver chain. Each one, completely unique and special.
