Recycled silver Shilling
This lovely pendant represents freedom to do what you want. It is recycled from an old silver coin such as a English shilling circa 1880’s.
The coin is recycled through a sequence of traditional silversmithing techniques. It is hammered, sketched, scribed, cut into shape, engraved, polished and finished. You are welcome to select from a variety of stars and hearts to accompany your sweet bird.

The birdsong collection is my favorite. So many unique pieces to choose from. There is no way a person could stop with just one of these beauties. How could you not feel magical wearing or sharing these works of art?

Wonderful piece, really polished silver and delicate details, even better than in looked in the photograph.
I bought some earrings a few years ago from the hairy growler stall in Cambridge market and those are still looking good too, can’t recommend highly enough (:

I’ve been following you for years all the way from Australia and always wanted a piece of your jewellery. I feel so lucky to finally own a piece of this special jewellery. What’s not to love about it. Your art is amazing and I love being asked where I got it from as it’s so unique. I can’t wait to own another piece.

This is another beautiful item from the Hairy Growler portfolio. The shape and design of the swallow is so simple and yet so creative at the same time. It is the perfect size and looks amazing on any length chain. Highly recommended.
