Recycled silver coins
We currently have a lovely ‘piratesque’ canvas money bag full of very old (1800’s) sterling silver English shillings, sixpence and threepence coins. These were a lucky purchase from a coin collector who was selling them due to them not being ‘mint’ examples. Since getting my hands on them I have been thinking about possible ways to creatively recycle them.
These gorgeous little hare cufflinks are cut from some of the sterling silver 1880’s shillings and threepences. . The opposite sides are sterling silver English threepence pieces into which i have cut a star and cresent moon. The cufflink chain is also completely recycled sterling silver made at the workshop.
