The Mabon balance

Mabon

Mabon equinox – necklace pendant handmade and recycled 150 year old silver Gothic florin

A point of perfect balance on the journey through the Wheel of the Year. Night and day are of equal length and in perfect equilibrium – dark and light, masculine and feminine, inner and outer, in balance.

This wonderful Mabon equinox scene is freehand drawn onto the beautiful precious silver Florin.  Several holes are drilled and the sections are delicately cut away.  The edges are filed, smoothed, carved and finally polished.

The end result is a lovely, original, recycled pendant with a fantastic history. Each one of these coin pendants i create is different, unusual and unique. Be assured that if you order one it will look equally as lovely!
You are welcome to choose the year of the penny if any of the years have any relevance.

At Mabon the year is now waning and at this moment darkness begins to defeat the light. The natural worlds yearly cycle is coming to a close, the Sun is moving further away in strength and the days are becoming shorter and darker.  Shadows faint and long and sap to earth.

Handcrafted and recycled in Cambridge, UK.
