Recycled sterling silver shillings

Hedgehog.  I have used a pair of lovely Georgian silver shillings as the raw material for these sweet, lovely and unique earrings. I have freehand sketched the little hedgehogs on to the flattened silver coins. I then carefully hand engrave the inticate details! I then chop them out with my favourite little jewellers saw.

The little autumn oak leaves are hand engraved and cut from an 1960’s penny’ coin. Complete with the finest sterling silver earwires along with secret details on the reverse.Each pair is completely unique, contemporary, ethical and beautiful. They are presented complete with the sterling silver ‘off-cuts’ which beautifully demonstrate the origins of the owls and connect them to their interesting, recycled material history.

NECKLACE INFORMATION

Many of the necklace / pendant designs are complete. These designs have a sterling silver chain attached to the pendant from both sides. This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen).  The necklace length you choose includes the length of the actual pendant. Do not worry about the pendant dimensions we will take care of your order. Order the necklace length you would normally wear and the necklace you receive will sit in the perfect position..

Large size : approx 210 mm (good size if you want a looser dangly medium fit)
