I

Leaping hare ring. I have transformed a 100-year-old-coin into a magickal ring which can be a life-long present. Depicting al hare and moon, this ring is completely green, eco-conscious and eco-friendly from all perspectives.
Magical leaping hare, dancing in the moonlight, captured and celebrated in a beautifully simple design. The leaping hare ring is directly hand cut from a slightly flattened silver fork handle which is hand wrought into the shape and length i require. I then meticulously hand cut the scene from a silver sixpence with a traditional jewellers hand saw. It is these tools which allow me a close connection with each piece and to ensure your ring will be completely original and special to wear. I am offering to create these with a silver sixpence moon and stars or you can choose bronze stars for contrast, but i’m insisting on a silver moonlight.
Presented with its donor with its donor coin, this piece is an ideal gift to a fellow nature-lover. This is a lovely piece of silver which connects your ring to its previous wondrous history. The remainder of the fork, the tines, I will use for other thin band rings.
Size : approx 5mm – 6mm width, perfect for everyday continuous wear.
If you like it but are considering it as a gift and aren’t 100% sure, why not check out the Facebook reactions to it? Alternatively go with your own instincts; it’s a special ring and I cherish the opportunity to make them. I also make a tiny wee recycled silver threepence leaping hare necklace pendant.

We ordered a pair of these very special rings to celebrate our silver wedding. I think that Les was as excited to be making them as we were to have them! They are beautifully made and we are absolutely delighted with them. The hand cut hares each have their own personality! We couldn’t be more pleased with these rings.
