Recycled vintage fruit spoon “The mystical leaping hare of the moor respected for its alertness, swiftness and resourcefulness. These lovely little earrings have been delicately recycled from the bowl of a vintage fruit spoon. The hares are drawn onto the underside of the spoon and then pierced out with a small jewellers saw and a drill. The earrings are presented with the actual ‘donor’ spoon from which they were made. This is ‘worked-upon’ and is transformed into a lovely little objet d’art which clearly demonstrates the green and ethical origins of the earrings whilst simultaneously connecting the wearer to their interesting one wondrous prior life! ” – The Growler

    Brilliant works of art

    I first saw the VW Campervans cut so skilfully and precisely and that was the intro into Hairy Growlers fantastic works of art, not just jewellery but works of art. I love buying different kinds of jewellery for my wife and she loves hares and whallah sure enough I found the hare ear rings which were perfect. Not only did I receive the hares but also the spoon they were cut out of. I can’t wait to see my wife’s face on Christmas day. Perfect works of art and I will be back for more.

    Lovely, but…

    Purchased these lovely earrings for my daughter – she was delighted with them, they were well made, and captured the spirit of a “dancing” hare… Unfortunately within the first week she lost one of them, must have slid out or caught on a scarf, perhaps if the hooks had been a bit longer, it might not have happened… have been unable to find it…. She is going to replace them – but will be using a plastic safety back.. So I would advise the use of earring “backs” to save anyone future disappointment.

NECKLACE INFORMATION

Many of the necklace / pendant designs are complete. These designs have a sterling silver chain attached to the pendant from both sides. This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen).  The necklace length you choose includes the length of the actual pendant. Do not worry about the pendant dimensions we will take care of your order. Order the necklace length you would normally wear and the necklace you receive will sit in the perfect position..
