This fabulous new flying Magpie necklace has been meticulously handcrafted from three large 120 year old recycled solid silver Crown coins. Each one of these coins is obtained due to them not being of collectible quality. This is a real shame as they represent such a fasinating history. Rather than let them simply be ‘melted down’ to release the base value of the precious metal, i buy as many as i can to transform into lovely, wearable jewellery! I make sure each piece retains signs of its historical origins.

The Magpie has been carefully hand drawn onto the surface of the flattened silver Half crown coin. It is then cut out by hand using a traditional jewellers piercing saw. Once the basic shape has been cut i meticulously and individually carve the details of each feather. Each necklace ordered will be completely unique and individual. Be assured that it will be equally, if not more beautiful. The reverse of the necklace is also very special, the details of which will remain a secret for its wearer! I’m not telling 🙂

The Magpie is fabulous folk symbol for those of us who enjoy collecting treasure and looking well.  The Magpie is suspended from a lovely Flourish chain in a limited edition antique patina finish usually reserved for Omnia chains.  The connection between the chain and Magpie pendant is a tiny ring made from with recycled silver or gold and set with a lovely Emerald, Ruby or Sapphire.  This wee ring represents and is the treasure we love to collect and own and the Magpie is our spirit; “he flies as artists might”
