Recycled silver Victorian shilling
This beautiful pendant is perfect for the snow loving, festive person in your life, be that you or someone close! As always, each and every necklace pendant is handmade and completely made from recycled raw materials. The raw material is a sterling silver Victorian shilling coin circa 1890’s. The coins i use are unwanted by coin collectors due to wear, etc. The snowflake design is freehand drawn onto the sterling silver coin, several holes are drilled and a half section is delicately cut away. The edges are filed, smoothed and finally polished. The mirror image of the side cut away is meticulously carved into the remaining shilling segment. The end result is a lovely, original, recycled snowflake pendant with a fantastic history.
Each one of these coin pendants i create is different, unusual and unique. Be assured that if you order one it will look equally as lovely!
Recycled in Cambridge. 100 year old+ Sterling silver coin.

NECKLACE INFORMATION

Many of the necklace / pendant designs are complete. These designs have a sterling silver chain attached to the pendant from both sides. This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen). The necklace length you choose includes the length of the actual pendant. Do not worry about the pendant dimensions we will take care of your order. Order the necklace length you would normally wear and the necklace you receive will sit in the perfect position..
