The star hanging from the ‘hairy growler’ shepards crook signature clasp is hand cut from a pre 1920’s silver shilling, you can also choose a heart or crescent moon. Recycled silver coins

This beautiful little leaping hare necklace has been adapted from recycled silver coins circa 1880’s. The star hanging from the ‘hairy growler’ shepards crook signature clasp is hand cut from a pre 1920’s silver shilling, you can also choose a heart or crescent moon. Each necklace is handcrafted and completely unique; you are welcome to select a name or initials to be engraved on the reverse of the hare.

    I’ve had my eye on a few of the Hairy Growler pieces for years, but only after seeing them at Fairport’s Cropredy Convention this year did I decide that I simply HAD to start collecting them. I bought this as an early birthday present to myself, over a month early to be precise, so by the time my birthday rolls around maybe I’ll have to order myself something else on here haha.
    I went for the star printed hare with a little dangling silver moon, it took three weeks to arrive, but the wait was definitely worth it. It’s so cute and magical looking, and there’s clearly been a lot of love and care put into the making of it as it looks absolutely perfect. I couldn’t be more happy with it, and I’ll definitely be back again at some point! x

    My little leaping Hare necklaces is absolutely beautiful, I love it, the only thing stopping me giving it 5 stars is that I find it almost impossible to get on and of myself as it takes some pressure to thread the loop onto the shepards hook clasp.

    I love my little leaping hare necklace, it’s pretty and unusual. My only disappointment was that I didn’t get a cut out coin as a keepsake from where the little hare came from, I was really looking forward to this! 🙁

    Hairy Growler you bugger!! After emailing 3 times to ask for what was probably an unreasonably large variation on this necklace and receiving no reply, I’d come to the conclusion that either my email was playing up or you thought I was awfully cheeky. Today my necklace has arrived, with exactly what I’d asked for – AND has surpassed my wildest expectations!! I ADORE it!! I will never EVER take it off!! Words can’t express how beautiful it is – thank you so much!! I have ordered the Tree of Life Bracelet and am soooo excited to receive that now!!

NECKLACE INFORMATION

Many of the necklace / pendant designs are complete. These designs have a sterling silver chain attached to the pendant from both sides. This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen).  The necklace length you choose includes the length of the actual pendant. Do not worry about the pendant dimensions we will take care of your order. Order the necklace length you would normally wear and the necklace you receive will sit in the perfect position..

Extra small : approx 170 mm

Small size : approx 185 mm

Medium size : approx 195 mm

Large size : approx 210 mm (good size if you want a looser dangly medium fit)

XL size approx 225 mm (includes an extra link; i.e. another lovely flower, butterfly, bird, etc section custom made)
