Summer solstice – Leaping Litha necklace pendant handmade and recycled Penny
A point of Midsummer on the journey through the Wheel of the Year. The longest day and the shortest night of the year, a time of celebration as the Oak King hands over the cycle to the Holly King.
This wonderful Litha Solstice leaping hare scene is freehand drawn onto the penny. Several holes are drilled and the sections are delicately cut away. The edges are filed, smoothed, carved and finally polished.
The end result is a lovely, original, recycled pendant with a fantastic history. Each one of these coin pendants i create is different, unusual and unique. Be assured that if you order one it will look equally as lovely!
You are welcome to choose the year of the penny if any of the years have any relevance.
